If you do these things, you’ll start to feel better on the inside and then see lasting changes on the outside that’ll improve your life for good. And, that’s what we’re going for – changing yourself and your life from the inside out so that it sticks.

  • Nurture a life that feels good to you

Never quit growing

No one should ever quit growing.

For example, picture two people with very different lives…

One person just sitting around and spending their days not doing much, especially not anything new. And, the other person leading a full life that’s loved, trying new things occasionally, and learning and improving when possible. 

This is a good example of what could happen if we stop growing.

Sometimes we feel like we’re living life, but with a closer look we might wonder if we’re really living at all.

I see now that I’ve had times where I wasn’t actually growing, and so I didn’t see the improvements in my life that I would’ve liked to see. Instead of growing, I was waiting for things to magically get better.

And, did that happen? NO, It didn’t.

We should really look within and figure out what we want for our lives and actively DO things to work toward that. Or, we risk staying in one place in our lives for too long and missing out on what could have been.

Abundant Life & Balance

Don’t make the mistake of thinking that time won’t pass – it will, and you’ll look back to see what you did with those years.

And, know that it’s never too late to make a change. I’ve made a lot of changes when I could’ve used that excuse.

Overall, I decided that I’d like to live the second half of my life a little differently – not taking life for granted. And, isn’t that part of what life’s all about – learning and chances?

It would be boring if we were born perfect and stayed the same for life. But, instead we get to learn and grow, changing things when necessary.

Yes, if there’s one thing I know for sure it’s that we should never quit growing. 

Make a plan to improve your life

You need a plan of some kind in order to change your life for the better. I didn’t have that for a long time, so I speak from experience.

I was into reading and learning about self improvement back then, but I wasn’t putting all I knew into action. And, I wasn’t looking at what I needed to be working on within me near enough.

And, a plan? Forget it. I just wasn’t there.

So give it some thought…

Look at where you really are, what you really want, and what needs to change or improve. And, this will make it WAY more likely that you end up with a life you actually want!

And by the way, people with lives that they love, lives that make them happy, didn’t just stumble into that life. They had to work at getting and keeping things the way they wanted them. 

So remember this, because I think we often forget about this and just accept the way things are – as if it’s just the deck we were dealt. When actually, we could work hard to look at all this within, make changes, and aim for what we’d rather have.

It’s your life! Make it how you want it.

Figure out what you want, and then figure out how to improve your life until you’re there living the life you really want. 

It might be hard at times, but the work you put toward this is absolutely worth it. And, you won’t look back in your later years wishing you hadn’t gone for it.

So remember, the clock’s ticking and it’s your time to shine!

Keep moving forward toward what you really want for yourself and your life.

And, I say this for a reason.

When you’re working toward something that means something to you, like improving yourself or your life for a particular reason, then you have something to look forward to.

And, trust me, if there’s one thing I’ve learned during my self growth journey it’s that having something to look forward to is everything.

Just think where one’s mind must be when they decide to give up on everything – in a hopeless place. So, now that I understand this I keep my heart moving forward toward what I want and who I want to be.

It truly makes all the difference.

I don’t allow myself to dwell in that hopeless place in my mind, where a situation just sucks and must be.


I allow myself hope. I allow myself forgiveness and the chance to become who I really want to be, even if it takes me a lifetime to get there. However, I appreciate who I am now and enjoy the journey at the same time!

Abundant Life & Balance

So, don’t look at self improvement like it’s an un-fun thing that you have to do. Let it be something that gives you hope and something to look forward to and that leads you toward true growth.

And while you’re working on improving yourself, don’t forget to be kind to yourself – and remember that how you talk to yourself is important.

Become who you need to be for the life you want

Would you really like to improve your life? Then, instead of just learning about self growth, really put thought and action into it.

What kind of person do you want to be, and what kind of life would you like to be living? And, if a fairy magically put you there right now, is there anything you’d need to be better at in order to keep that life great? 

Would you truly be happier at that moment in your new life, or would YOU follow you and drag you down? Meaning, would you have negativity or a bad habit that would put a damper on your ideal life?

What do you want, and what will it take to get there – how do you want to grow over time?

We sometimes think that once we get what we we want we’ll be different. But, is it possible that we must first become who we need to be and then we get the thing or the life that we want?

I find this question very interesting and worth some thought.
