Today, I’m sharing my list of spiritual things to stay high vibe and positive, despite life’s challenges and other people. I find these things to be so helpful!

Here’s my list of spiritual things to stay high vibe & positive

I know it’s sometimes difficult to stay positive and in a high vibration with life challenges, but these spiritual tips really can help. They’ve helped me so much, and I hope they help you too!

My list of spiritual things to stay high vibe and positive include:

  • Burning sage and palo santo (I love the smell of palo santo!)
  • Keeping crystals around (I like to keep a variety, even in bracelets.)
  • Meditating like you’re connecting with a friend (breathe & listen)

Of course, there are other spiritual things one can do and that I enjoy. For example, I believe in grounding. I’ll occasionally take my shoes off when outside and put my bare feet on the earth as I relax and breathe. Or, I’ll take time to really take in and appreciate nature.

You can also breathe, imagining that you’re breathing up through your feet (it amazingly actually feels soothing and relaxing). It makes me feel like the air is coming from the earth. I don’t remember where I heard of this, but I know that I didn’t fully get it until I tried it.

Also, “breathing into your heart” is very popular these days in the spirituality world. If you haven’t heard of it, I’d recommend looking it up. There seems to be great science backing up how it helps (even with manifesting).

Or, other breathing techniques. Like, breathing in about four counts, holding a couple counts, and breathing out about six counts (or for a couple counts longer than you breathed in). You can then slow it even a little more and just relax and breathe. I find this slows my heart rate or breathing and relaxes me, and can even help when you’re finding it difficult to sit and meditate.

I also make sure I get enough water. I’m always drinking water these days (some say this helps us spiritually, plus it’s good for us). And, I can feel the difference now between when I’m getting enough water or not. I think better, feel better, and find it easier to connect and hear higher guidance.

And, on top of all this I enjoy noticing things that are signs to me, like repeating numbers. These signs give me comfort, knowing I’m supported by something higher than myself and that I’m not alone.

About my list of spiritual things

These are things that have resonated with me and that feel right to me. You will need to find what feels like it’s for you, whether that be some of these things or different things.

But incase you want more info on the main three things I mentioned earlier, I’ll cover them more in the next few sections.

Here’s a closer look at my list of spiritual things.

Burn sage & palo santo

This is something I do daily, because it makes me feel better. It seems to lift the energy around me and within me.

I once heard someone refer to burning sage as positive thinking on steroids, and this seems like a good comparison to me!

I know clearly the benefits that I feel from using these things, but I did some research on sage specifically to give you some specific benefits of using it. And, I was surprised to find so many believed benefits and uses for this plant!

Aside from the spiritual benefits of uplifting energy, or purifying one’s space, chakra’s, and aura, sage is also said to be an herb that heals the mind, body, and spirit. It can remove negativity, give the brain a boost, and improve your mood.

On top of this, people use it for all kinds of medicinal purposes, saying it helps with recovering from illnesses and injuries. I was surprised to see that it’s used so much in this way, too.

But, I have instinctively found myself allowing the sage smoke to surround my body where it’s feeling pain (partly because of my belief that everything is energy and that if it affects the energy there positively, it can change things).

Keep crystals around

Next on my list of spiritual things that I use is crystals. They are said to all have different benefits, and I sometimes hold a specific one in my hand that I feel will help me at the time.

I keep different ones around me, and I feel they help. They come from the earth, so no matter what when you hold one you are grounding yourself, feeling the energy of nature. And, I find this important.

When I looked up a good definition for you for how a crystal helps, I found this one by Healthline:

One common belief is that crystals interact with the body’s energy fields, also known as vibrational energy. The idea is that crystals can redirect and re-channel energy flow with their unique energetic vibrations, helping to unblock areas of the body or energy field that have become “stuck.” (Healthline)

Also from my research, I’ve found that a crystal consists of just one element. It’s atoms are arranged in a highly ordered repeating pattern, and you could say that the way it looks on the outside reflects it’s internal organized make-up. All in all, it’s different from something you would call a rock.

Meditate like you’re connecting with a friend

The final spiritual thing that helps me is to meditate.

And, right away I want to say that I don’t see meditation like some do as some big thing that must be done a certain way. I simply see it as a way to connect – to my inner self, my higher self, and a higher source.

You can see that higher source as anything that you’d like to. For me, it’s my guides and angels and God – or as I sometimes like to refer to this source, “I Am” or “All That Is”. I like to call God “All That Is” because to me it so simply describes a source that I feel is a part of everything.

(As I’m an extension of God or you might say made in God’s image, so I believe God is within me and within you. And, I believe God’s energy is in everything around me, like nature. You could say that I believe we are all connected, through energy and that one source.)

Anyway, I’m just sharing what resonates with me. You be sure and do things in a way that feels right to you.

The point is that I don’t believe you have to force yourself to sit for hours in meditation, clearing your mind (not that you can’t if you choose to). I see meditation as a way to connect and to go within. And, it helps! It brings me a feeling of connection (of having help), and it brings me peace. So, you might try it if you haven’t yet.

Don’t make it a big deal, or you might run away from it or find it difficult. Just breathe and try to relax your mind and body, and after a bit listen for inner or higher guidance. You might hear a thought that doesn’t sound like something you’d normally say to yourself, and it might be helpful!
