Once you become aware of how everything is energy and how we’re affected by this, you begin to want to protect your energy and keep your vibration high. I know, because this happened to me.

After realizing that other people’s energy could be affecting me negatively, I wanted to protect myself from this. And after learning that staying in a higher vibration would help me manifest better, I wanted to know how to do this.

And, that’s why I’m writing this blog post with three ways that you can guard your energy and stay in a higher vibration. I want to help you feel better and stay more in control of your vibration, rather than letting other people and situations around you control these things.

So, let’s get right into it so you can become a high vibration person and reap the results of this (like feeling better and manifesting what you want more easily)!

Ways to protect your energy

I’m going to give you the three powerful ways to protect your energy now, but first we need to talk about how to put yourself in a higher vibration, or higher energy state.

You may already be aware of how to do this since you were drawn to this blog post on protecting energy. If not, know that how you’re feeling can be a good indication of whether you’re currently in a high vibration or a low one.

And, know that being in a higher vibration (as discussed earlier) will be more beneficial to you.

Try to be aware of your thoughts, which affect how you’re feeling. Try not to dwell on past negative circumstances, or even current ones. And, try to raise your vibration with more positive thoughts and feelings.

Think of things you love. If you ever get feeling down, list some things that you’re grateful for or that you love. And, try to stay out of judgement but instead in more of a state of just being aware.

1. Stay in your own power & remember who you are

My first tip to protect your energy is to stay in your own power. Remember who you are, divinely, and realize that nothing and no one can make you feel anything or take anything away from you that you don’t allow.

You see, lot’s of times we’re in victim mode and we’re giving too much power away – or we just simply don’t realize the power that we have. We think life just happens to us and people just do things to us and there’s nothing we can do, but this isn’t true.

I know it can be hard to understand, but the more you come to realize who you really are and where you really come from the more you see the truth.

Don’t give your power away. If someone is making you feel less than, stand in the strength and your knowing of who you are. Perhaps even fold your arms in front of you to protect your solar plexus chakra area (you can look up a diagram of the chakras online).

Look at how you’re standing, at your thoughts, and how you’re feeling. What needs to change for you to feel more empowered?

Take a few slow, deep breaths and reconnect with your spirit, with your higher self. You are more empowered when you’re connected.

The more you do this, feeling present and connected to yourself and within the moment, the more empowered, aware, and protected you’ll be.

(This also connects you better with your spirit team, making you better able to receive guidance. If you don’t believe in guides and angels, think of a higher source like God, or disregard.)

2. Guard your energy with a protective energy field

This tip is to guard your energy with a protective energy field. Let me explain.

There are times when it’s good to protect yourself from other people’s energy, like when someone’s being hostile toward you or just isn’t matching your vibration.

And, this is okay! Don’t feel bad for not wanting to be on the vibration of someone else – for not wanting to match that.

Like I said before, it’s okay to be you and to let others be themselves. They’re where they’re at, and you’re where you’re at. But, do protect your energy.

Sometimes when I’m feeling negative energy from someone I like to imagine an energy field around myself that protects me. It doesn’t allow in negative energy (or emotions) from others – in fact it bounces it back to them!

If I focus on this, I do better at staying in my positive vibration even though I’m listening to negativity or sensing negative thoughts and feelings from the other person.

Of course, staying unaffected by others isn’t always easy! It can be challenging. 

But if you can remind yourself that you’re in control of how you feel and not anyone else, it can become easier to deal with.

And, that’s essentially what you’re doing if you imagine protecting your energy field. You’re saying, “Nope, not today – take it back. This is my energy over here and I like it this way.”

So, let’s look more at being in control of how you feel now.

3. Take charge of how you feel, because it changes vibration

Being in control of how you feel changes everything! I promise you it’s true.

I’ve seen it change my own life, and I know it can help you too – even when dealing with this, because how you feel can change your vibration.

If you’re feeling good you’ll be putting off positive energy vibrations, and the opposite is also true.

So for me, when I feel that someone’s negative energy is affecting me I’ll purposely work on lifting my energy to combat theirs. I’ll switch to positive thoughts and focus on feeling good!

At this point I know they’re putting off low energy vibrations, and I want no part of that. If I don’t protect myself, I’ll end up feeling low with them.

So, if you find yourself often affected by others’ feelings, vibrations, and actions, try to remind yourself that they are going to be them but you are in control of you. Remind yourself that your feelings don’t run the show – you do.

Realize that just because someone else is mad or in a negative or lower vibration it doesn’t mean you have to be, too.

You can even be empathetic while not joining them at that level. Listen, if that’s what you feel called to do, but don’t take in all of their emotions.

For those of us that are empaths, this can be very hard to do. I’ve struggled with it myself. We strongly sense the emotions of others, and it can be hard to ignore them. 

So, I’ve found that it’s important for me to also take care of myself by taking time alone, too. I’m learning to recognize when I need time to recenter myself – to cleanse my energies, meditate, etc.

After all, if we don’t take good care of ourselves then we can’t care as good for others. So, awareness is everything!

Be aware of how you’re doing, how you’re feeling, and what you’re needing. And, take good care of yourself. Do your best to get to a good feeling state as soon as possible when you fall out of it, and try to stay in an energy of love (even with yourself).

Now you have the tools you need to guard your energy and keep a high vibration more often. Believe that you can be a high vibration person that feels good and brings the things that you want into your life.

We’re all affected by other people’s energy, whether we realize it or not. But, the key is to protect your own energy as much as possible.

If you can stay aware of this issue, you can keep yourself from getting drained and in a low vibration due to others energies that aren’t where yours is.

Remember, it’s okay to let others be themselves and at the same time to let you be yourself. And, it’s okay to want to protect your energy. This is a good thing!

Just the fact that you’re reading this shows that you’re aware of the energy vibrations between people and how they can affect us, and awareness is the first step.

Always be aware of how things affect you, whether it’s a television show, music, or other people. And, once you’re aware then you can do something about it.

Mostly, always work on keeping yourself feeling good and this will help raise your vibration. 

I’m personally way more aware of how things and other people affect me than I used to be. And, this has a lot to do with why I feel so much better these days overall!
